About this Package

This package highlights our business improvement methods and products, which are illustrated in a simplified case study.

Purpose

Our Business Improvement Package (BIP) is an integrated and targeted approach to redesign one or more activities critical to a business’ mission and goals.

Our BIP provides a rapid and cost-effective basis for business improvement that identifies problems, inefficiencies, ineffectiveness, and/or gaps so that plans for appropriate action can be developed and implemented. Our BIP provides all levels of management a concise, targeted, yet comprehensive view of critical processes and the changes needed to achieve desired goals.

Application

We document activities, functions, performers, information exchanges, communications systems, costs of doing business, etc., involved in the target process. We then architect the “should be” view of the business and the bridge from the “as is” to the “should be” states.

Our BIP addresses operational problems associated with:
selection and staffing (adequacy, numbers, training, expertise)
compatibility of communications systems
(numbers, types, functions, costs)
need for a given activity, function, process and/or task
process effectiveness, efficiency, and performance
training (adequacy, requirements, type, effectiveness, cost)
information flow (proper, efficient)
costing related to staffing, hardware, software, and training.

Outputs

Key outputs, which vary from project to project, depending upon requirements, may include:
organizational and operational concepts and diagrams
activity models and process threads
information exchange matrices
implementation plans for bridging the “as is” to the “should be” states
and achieving business mission and goals.
